With average daily temperatures above 85 degrees during the summer, popular months for tourism are usually early April to early June, and mid-September to late October to avoid the extreme heat but still experience average temperatures of 18-27 for a sunny holiday.

Often referred to as the Sports Capital of Texas, you can spend a day in Round Rock attending a baseball game at Dell Diamond, home of Triple-A team the Round Rock Express. Round Rock is also home to 2 golf courses, Teravista Golf Club and Forest Creek Golf Club, both of which can be booked online.

During the summer, the center of Main Street turns into a splash pad which becomes a popular spot for families and kids. Explore the outdoors around Old Settler’s Park and the Rock’n River Water Park or wander around downtown and visit the art galleries, boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants for a leisurely day of exploring the heart of the city.

Round Rock is known for its premium outlets for those who enjoy a shopping spree while on holiday. With 120 stores, you’re guaranteed to find what looking for in this 430,000 sq foot outlet mall.

Round Rock’s public transport system is operated by CapMetro and provides services within the city and to/from Austin. The city also has many bike and pedestrian trails such as the Brushy Creek Regional Trail for those wanting to travel around the city while experiencing the outdoors.
